Music Matters!
Dear Guild Members and Friends,
Even though the calendar says fall is still a couple of weeks away, it already feels like the season is here. The days are growing shorter, evenings are a little cooler, a new school year is beginning, and fall sports are underway. I love this time of year for its new beginnings and the joy of reuniting with friends after a wonderful and relaxing summer.
Welcome back, Guild members, to our 2025–2026 year! This season promises to be filled with energy, excitement, fellowship, and purpose as we come together once again to support the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and music education in our community.
The GSO has an impressive lineup of concerts this year, featuring such renowned artists as Andrea Bocelli and LeAnn Rimes. In addition, the Symphony Guild has planned an outstanding calendar of events to support the orchestra’s efforts.
Our signature fundraiser, A Notable Night, returns to the Proximity Hotel on Saturday, November 22, celebrating the music, food, and entertainment of Rio de Janeiro. Our 48th Annual Presentation Ball will honor eight accomplished young women and their families on Sunday, December 28. And our much-loved Love and Music Tennis event adds pickleball to the fun on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Along the way, our membership luncheons and socials, School Concerts Week, and Classics gatherings will bring us together in friendship and spirit.
We have much to accomplish, but also the skills, dedication, and enthusiasm to be successful. I am proud to serve as your President and honored to lead this remarkable group of volunteers in our shared mission.
With warm regards,

2025-2026 President
