Fink’s Jewelers began in 1930 as Nathan Fink. As a starving pharmacist in the midst of the Great Depression, Nathan started pushing a jewelry cart around the streets of a small Virginia town. Today, Fink’s Jewelers is owned and operated by the third and fourth generation of the founding family, with customer service remaining the cornerstone of our philosophy.
From our first store in Roanoke, Virginia, Fink’s Jewelers has now grown to include 12 locations throughout Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Ike Savvas has been a valued member of our Fink’s family for 25 years, though his passion for fine jewelry began long before that! The secret to his success is his love for his customers and unsurpassed customer service. “I build relationships, my clients are my friends,” he says. There is nothing he enjoys more than helping people celebrate special moments in life with a gift that will be treasured forever. Visit Ike at Fink’s Jewelers in the Streets at Southpoint and see his passion for yourself!

Ike’s email is [email protected].

A Memorable Guild Meeting and Luncheon at the O’Henry Hotel

On January 23 we joined together for a GMM and luncheon in the elegant Pavilion Room of the lovely O’Henry Hotel. We are grateful for such a wonderful Guild community!

It was a joyous occasion, made even more special by the presentation of the esteemed Barbara Cone Award to our very own Mary Ingram. Mary has been one of our most impactful leaders through the years, and we were thrilled to celebrate her well-deserved recognition!
A heartfelt thank you to Dot Murphy for organizing and planning such a delightful event. We also extend our gratitude to Chris Eaton, Director of Development and Public Relations, for his engaging and informative talk.

Chris provided valuable insight into the inner workings of our orchestra staff and gave us an exciting sneak peek into the upcoming 2025-26 season. With our new Maestro, Christopher Dragon, at the helm, and a fantastic lineup of programs and guest artists on the horizon, there is so much to look forward to!

We Need Volunteers!
Elementary Concerts Coming Soon

Each March and April, all third, fourth, and seventh-grade students in the Piedmont region experience the magic of live orchestral music through a dynamic performance by the full Greensboro Symphony.

These Elementary School Concertsserve over 18,000 students from Guilford, Rockingham, Randolph, and Alamance Counties, as well as private school, homeschool, and out-of-county students.

On Sunday, January 26, Guild member Peggy Hamilton graciously opened her beautiful home to host the 2024 Presentation Ball mothers for a final gathering. As pianist Michael Drusdow provided elegant music, guests enjoyed a champagne toast and reflected on the memorable season. Each mother received a special gift—a copy of the 2024 Presentation Ball video—to share with friends and family.
A heartfelt thank you to Donna Camp, our 2024 Presentation Ball Chair, for organizing this wonderful event, and to all who attended.
