EVENT RECAPS
School Concert Week
School Concert Week was a meaningful and energizing time for the Guild, as we came together to support another successful year of the Greensboro Symphony’s annual education concerts. From the very first performance, the week set a strong tone of excitement, inspiration, and community impact.
Day one opened with a memorable experience under the direction of Henry Panion III, whose leadership brought a special energy to the stage. With multiple performances throughout the day and more to follow, students were immediately immersed in the power and beauty of live orchestral music.
Over the course of four days, these concerts reached more than 18,000 students from Guilford, Rockingham, Randolph, and Alamance counties. For many, this program offers a first opportunity to experience a live symphony, sparking curiosity and appreciation for the arts in a way that is both accessible and unforgettable. It is a powerful reminder that music is not just something to hear, but something to feel and carry forward.
This incredible week would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers. Their time, energy, and commitment played a vital role in ensuring each concert ran smoothly and that every student had a welcoming and enriching experience. The Guild is also grateful for the partnership and support of the Tanger Center staff, whose collaboration helps bring this large scale effort to life each year.
The Symphony Guild is proud to continue supporting this longstanding tradition through both sponsorship and service. School Concert Week stands as a clear reflection of our shared belief that music matters, and that investing in young audiences today helps shape a more vibrant, connected community for the future.

EVENT RECAPS
Member Sip and Savor at GIA
Guild members gathered for a warm and welcoming evening at our recent Sip and Savor Social, hosted at GIA. This special event brought members together to enjoy an atmosphere filled with connection, conversation, and seasonal charm.
Guests were treated to a delightful combination of savory food and wine, creating the perfect setting for both longtime members and new faces to mingle and build relationships. With spring in the air, there was a natural sense of renewal and energy throughout the evening, reflected in the laughter and easy camaraderie shared across the room.
The event offered a more personal experience that encouraged meaningful interaction and a strong sense of community. It was a wonderful reminder of the Guild’s spirit, not only in supporting the arts, but in fostering genuine connection among its members.
