Classics Celebrate at Wine & Cheese Reception

On April 17, President and CEO of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, Lisa Crawford, was the guest speaker at a Classics Wine & Cheese Reception held at Well-Spring. Lisa spoke of the many education projects of the GSO, including those that are funded by the Guild. Most exciting is the new rehearsal space for our orchestra, which will host many other events and meetings in the future.
Our Classics group in the Guild consists of members who have worked in the Guild for many years. Some have been involved since its inception in 1964, and several have been active for 30 years or more. We are proud of this group who have led us through very important moments in our Guild life, contributing time, talent and money as funds are raised for music education in our community.
Many thanks to Peggy FollinEllen Taft and Anne Daniel for organizing this event and giving us a chance to hear from Lisa and spend time with one another.

Sponsor Highlight
More than a local monthly arts and entertainment publication, O.Henry Magazine is “The Art & Soul of Greensboro.” Inside each issue, you’ll find stories of the Gate City’s thriving arts community, curated homes and inspiring gardens, a dash of history as we look forward to what’s next — all told through an uncommon literary and artistic vision. The poetry, personal essays and humorous columns will find you, at times, wiping a tear from your eye, either from laughing so hard you cry or from being deeply moved.

Let’s extend a big thank you to returning 2023-24 Symphony Guild sponsor O.Henry magazine. Look for our Symphony Guild ad in the forthcoming September arts issue as a kickoff to the art season. Grab the latest issue, pour yourself a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and curl up with a magazine that’s as good for the soul as a meetup with a trusted old friend.

Sponsor Appreciation Night

Every year the Guild counts on our corporate and individual sponsors to help us raise money for music education in the community.

Because we are grateful, we celebrated them at our Sponsor Appreciation Party on April 18 at the home of Ginger and Haynes Griffin. The weather was perfect for us to enjoy the beautiful patio and flowers with music by Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra Honors Quartet.

Many thanks to the Griffins for opening up their beautiful home.
We hope you will renew your sponsorship next year and help us again to fund and promote music education for children.– SYMPHONY –
