The Bravo Award, established in 2004, recognizes a volunteer in good standing who has been in the Guild for 5 years or less, and has given extensively as a volunteer. Among our many Guild stars, this one has shone brightly and has set the highest possible standard for excellence as a volunteer. She is a most deserving winner of this award. The Guild is very lucky that the recipient chose us as an outlet for her many talents.
Our winner moved to Greensboro in 2002 from Dearborn, Michigan, after retiring from a distinguished career with the Ford Motor Company. She began her new life as a volunteer with the Greensboro Newcomers Club where she served their board in many capacities. When she decided to become involved with the Greensboro Symphony Guild, she jumped right in, supporting many programs and fundraisers, and is this year’s is Homes Tour Chair. Our recipient has been involved on two Guild Executive Boards, serving as Secretary and Vice President of Operations, Chairman of the Membership committee, and has been a Homes Tour Gala co-chair. She has spent many volunteer hours with each of our educational concerts, provided assistance with orchestra support, worked at the Super Sale, the Golf and Tennis Tournament, the Cookbook committee, and served on Long Range.
The winner of this year’s Bravo Award is Nancy Bogard.
