 GREENSBORO SYMPHONY GUILD NAMES DEBUTANTES  

     The Greensboro Symphony Guild has announced the names of the 14 young women who will make their debuts at the 34th Annual Presentation Ball December 28, 2012.

     The Symphony Guild Presentation Ball honors young women with connections to the Greensboro area who have made significant contributions to the communities in which they live. Mrs. Gregory Edward Smith will serve as Chair, and Mrs. Robert Joseph Kroupa will serve as Honorary Chair. Mr. Dennis Gale Stearns of Stearns Financial Services Group, Inc. will serve as our Master of Ceremonies  

     Activities include a spring tea, mother/daughter luncheon, deb informal, marshals' fitting evening, family picnic, fall tea, holiday tea and waltz evening in addition to various parties in honor of the debutantes. The debutantes and their families will also enjoy an evening at the Greensboro Symphony’s September Masterworks concert.

 The debutantes are:               

  • MORGAN ELIZABETH ALBERTSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wayne Albertson of Greensboro, a student at Campbell University;
  • KATHERINE ANN ARCHER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Sidney Archer of Greensboro, a student at Appalachian State University;
  • EMERY SNOW BENCINI, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Emery Bencini III of Greensboro, a student at Appalachian State University;
  • SARAH MORGAN DEWEESE, daughter of Ms. Ronda Bailes DeWeese of High Point and Mr. Stephen Anthony DeWeese of Jamestown, a student at Appalachian State University;
  • SARAH MARGARET DONNELLY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald William Donnelly of Greensboro, a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington;
  • ABBY BACON DUNCAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan William Duncan of Greensboro, a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
  • LOGAN NICOLE HURLEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Douglas Hurley of Greensboro, a student at North Carolina State University;
  • ANNE-CHRISTIAN JOHNS, daughter of Ms. Teresa Lee Christian and Mr. Gregory Alan Johns of Summerfield, a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington;
  • SARAH ANN MINCHER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Daniel Mincher  junior of Greensboro, a student at the University of Richmond;
  • CLAIRE SEABURY MUELLER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen John Mueller of Greensboro, a student at the University of Virginia;
  • KATHERINE MARIE SHAW, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dean Shaw of High Point, a student at High Point University;
  • CAROLINE COLLIER SMITH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Bradford Smith, a student at Wake Forest University;
  • RILEY SHANNON TUCKER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Riley Tucker, a student at the University of Georgia;
  • KENDALL MACKENZIE WEAVIL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Carlton Weavil, a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
