Education
Education in music is most sovereign, because more than anything else, rhythm and harmony find their way to the inmost soul and take strongest hold upon it, bringing with them an imparting grace, if one is rightly trained.

EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Outreach education programs serve more than 35,000 adults and children in Greensboro and the surrounding area each year.

The April Elementary school concerts were a huge success. Thanks to all our wonderful Guild Members who volunteered their time - and all for the children of Guilford County. The photo shows a sneak peek of Nate Beversluis   conducting magic for elementary student guests.

ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS
  • Symphony Preludes. Informal brief lectures by local music experts prior to Masterworks Concerts.
  • Music at Midday. A five concert series for senior citizens. About 700 people enjoyed concerts last year.
  • Women's Chorus. Guild members perform about 25 times a year, offering concerts to groups throughout the county.

The members of the Women's Chorus present programs to civic clubs, church groups, schools and senior citizen centers. With more than 25 members, we have lots of fun bringing music to the community, and we would be delighted to add more exuberant voices to our group!
